Web and INTRANET Officer - UX TESTING LEAD - Nov 12 – Present
I am an experienced Web and Intranet Officer - UX testing lead with extensive user experience testing, CMS, Website, SAP and Social media experience. I have a wide range of technical skills also significant client side communication skills, working closely with in house IT, Legal, Communications, Marketing, Customer Services, General Public as well as several external Web and Digital agencies. I am reliable, enthusiastic and dedicated, with the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
I have been a member of the E-Services team for the last 6 years. During this time, my role has evolved and has become lead in user experience testing which is now my main focus since our team has become part of the Digital Transformation team and working on a complete redesign of the main Warwickshire County Councils website. My role requires me to set up and organise different tests according to the digital needs of the organisation using different methods whether it be wireframes, or using tools such as Optimal Workshop and using different devices, giving the general public tasks to do and record there journey. I also maintain several websites across the Warwickshire County Council online estate, using a range of platforms such as WordPress, SharePoint and Drupal, which receive over 500,000 visitors per month.
I am the first point of contact for web authors, staff members, and customers, handling both content-based and technical enquiries. I ensure that website content and services are of a high quality and meet audience needs, using tools such as Google Analytics, Web Feedback, Govmetric, and SiteImprove, along with monthly useability testing sessions, to monitor the site, identify and resolve issues site visitors may experience.
In addition, I have been involved with development projects within the team, including mobile apps, interactive maps, RSS feeds and social media in order to improve our customer experience. I have used iCaseworks form software to design and develop new online services, and Fireworks and Photoshop to roll out design and graphical improvements.
Jaguar Land Rover
IT Support Analyst - Jun 12 - Nov 12
As a Support Analyst my role was to provided Tier 1&2 technical support for approximately 21,000 customers including Tata Communications, Jaguar and Land Rover. I provided administration of Windows XP and Vista, Google Mail, Drive, Apps and Calendar, sending software via SCCM. I was also responsible for Incident Management to ensure that problems are accurately reported and departmental processes are followed through to problem resolution.
Technical Liaison Assistant - Dec 11 - May 12
As a Technical Liaison Assistant, I tested, implemented and managed fixes for current and new website developments using various browsers and Morrello CMS. We supported over 40 International markets for Jaguar Land Rover. The skills required for this role were experience using with HTML, XML, iFrames and other web services also strong communication skills and good attention to detail.
Website Support Analyst - Mar 02 – Aug 11
I used HTML, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Google Analytics and Shadomx to maintain support and report on the company intranet which was used by 7,000+ employees and the corporate web site which was viewed by approximately 43,000 people per month. This involved liaising with the Corporate Communications team, Investor Relations Secretary, the Company Secretary and external agencies.
I was also responsible for the continuous maintenance of over 40 other brand and corporate websites which involved project managing web site developments of various complexities using Premier’s Application Development Request online process, change management process and working closely with external suppliers throughout the UK in order to ensure these projects are delivered on time, on budget and to specification.
I also used DNS control panels such as Netnames and Domaincheck to manage the 400+ domain names that Premier had acquired directly or through company acquisitions. I liaise regularly with our Legal department, internal trade mark team, Nominet and other external agencies to enable me to manage the domains effectively.
